Welcome to the blog for geographic information librarianship. This blog accompanies a self-directed graduate-level course designed by a student enrolled in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) at the University of British Columbia.  I intend to post regular comments as I work my way through the course during the summer of 2008. I hope to encourage discussion about the field of map librarianship and the management of geospatial data in libraries of all kinds.
